Don't miss these guys when you're in Mandalay. They are Myanmar's most notorious a-nyeint troupe. Basically it's a variety show with a jovial political bent. Many of their acts focus on criticism of the military regime, landing one of the brothers in jail 3 times and government officials keeping a close eye on them. The three brothers and their respective wives all participate in the act from demonstrating how to wear a longyi to a dance of the fiercely independent Karen tribe. Looks like the next generation is ready to take over with his 2 year old granddaughter already stealing the show.
